Train Pastors or Christian Leaders

Launch locally governed, locally sustained theological training

You do NOT need accreditation, funding, or outside permission to begin. All curriculum is free and reproducible. You DO need 5-15 students, a meeting place, SGC free curriculum, and a clear plan of action.

1

Pray and Identify Students

Ask God to lead you to 5-15 faithful and teachable leaders. Look for faithfulness and spiritual hunger rather than talent or education. Start small and focus on depth over size.

2

Download a Foundational Course

Begin with Christian Beliefs or Spiritual Formation. These courses build doctrinal clarity and spiritual maturity and provide a strong foundation for future study.

3

Study the Teacher Training Manual

Before teaching, review the SGC Teacher Training Manual. It explains how to structure lessons, facilitate discussion, assign reading, evaluate students, and maintain consistency.

4

Establish a Weekly Meeting Rhythm

Meet once per week for 2-3 hours per session. Assign reading before class. Use discussion questions during class. Emphasize practical ministry application.

5

Follow a Suggested 2-Year Pathway

Year 1 covers Foundations. Year 2 covers Leadership and Ministry. This pathway is recommended but not mandatory. Adapt the order based on your students and ministry context.

Multiplication Strategy

After completing your first course, identify 1-2 strong students and train them to teach others. Encourage them to begin new classes. This multiplication model follows 2 Timothy 2:2, entrusting truth to faithful leaders who will teach others also.
