Personal Study

Structured theological learning at your own pace

While SGC courses are designed primarily for group study and classroom discussion, they can also be used effectively for personal study when group learning is not possible.

1

Choose a Course

Select a course that fits your current spiritual and theological growth goals. Many individuals begin with Spiritual Formation or Christian Beliefs for a strong foundation.

2

Set a Dedicated Study Time

Treat the course like a structured learning journey. Set aside consistent time each week for reading and reflection. These courses work well during personal devotion time or in a designated weekly study session.

3

Use Audio When Possible

Take advantage of SGC audio courses when available. Listening alongside reading can reinforce learning and make study possible during travel, work, or daily routines.

Study Tips

Work through one chapter at a time. Answer the discussion questions in writing, reflect on practical application, and pray through what you are learning. If possible, consider inviting at least one other person to study with you. SGC courses are written to be explored in community, and shared learning often strengthens clarity, accountability, and growth.
