From July 21–29, a small SGC Global Training team will be on the ground in Peru, equipping pastors with tools for biblical training. Rev. Raymond Shreve, Andry Leiva (SGC Dominican Republic Coordinator), and Dr. Randall McElwain will lead back-to-back training events in the cities of Trujillo and Pucallpa—strategic locations on Peru’s western coast and deep in the Amazon Basin.
We are thankful to partner with the Pilgrim Church of Peru, which will host these trainings. In addition to their leaders, pastors from other local congregations will also attend. In each city, approximately 25 pastors are expected to take part in an intensive three-day seminar using the SGC course Doctrine and Practice of the Holy Life. These sessions are designed not just for information, but for transformation—equipping leaders to start SGC programs in their churches and disciple others through biblical teaching.
Each evening, the team will also participate in public services. These are opportunities to encourage the broader church community and to share the vision of spiritual renewal through sound doctrine and training.
Would you join us in prayer for this trip?
- Pray for the pastors—that God would stir their hearts and give them a passion for holy living and for training others.
- Pray for the team—that they would have wisdom, strength, and unity as they teach and travel.
- Pray that these two cities would become centers of ongoing grassroots training, with many local churches launching their own SGC programs.
Your support makes this kind of mission possible. We deeply believe that renewed pastors are key to renewed churches. Thank you for standing with us as we train leaders, one classroom at a time.
